Food shopping & petrol stations
The closest shops are in Savigné, a 5 minute drive away where you will find a large Intermarché (supermarket), pharmacy, newsagents and florist among others. The supermarket is open from 8.30am until 7.30pm on Monday to Saturday and 9am to 12.30pm on Sunday*. It remains open for lunch, however most other shops close for lunch from 12 to 2pm each day. There is also a petrol station which is open 24 hours with card payments at the pumps.
There is a Super-U supermarket in Civray - it is open from 9am until 7.30pm on Monday to Saturday and 9am to 12.30pm on Sunday*. You can also get fuel here 24 hours a day. There is a Lidl opposite Super U and this is open from 8.30am to 8pm on Monday to Saturday*. It is closed on a Sunday.

Local Market / Bakery / Butchers
Our closest town Civray is only 4.5km away. It has a large market every Tuesday morning and a smaller one on Friday mornings. There are two excellent bakeries in Civray, a butcher, banks, a small cinema which shows films in both French and English, some nice cafés and restaurants and a beautiful, very old church.

Locally, there are plenty of cafés and restaurants around. You can find some in Civray (10 min drive), as well as a café-bar at Intermarché (5 min drive) which serves drinks all day and cooked lunches. We are working on curating our list of favourite eateries - check back here soon.
